But the sinners aren't so eager to be saved. The city is overflowing with heathens, the impure, and the nonbelievers. And the Pontiff has a plan that will rid Las Vegas—perhaps, ultimately the world—of these people, these unworthy races. Yes, some of the faithful may also die, but there are casualties in any war, and the Lord will sort out their souls. For Andrew Wright, GOOD MORNING AMERICA reporter and host of "The Wright Stuff," this trip to Las Vegas should have been a lark. He's being hosted and comped by the newest, best casino on the Strip, The Tahitian, and he's looking forward to the biggest boxing match to hit Vegas in years. Already thousands of tourists, media personalities, and fight fans have packed every open hotel room in town. The city is busting at the seams. Which is why Wright wanted to get away and find some peace and quiet in the desert. But storms can rage abruptly, even in the Mojave. Flash floods can sweep a man to his death in seconds. Driven into a sheltering cave, he finds himself suddenly sliding, out of control, down a shaft. He lands hard at the bottom, the wind knocked out of him, and starts to wonder if he's hit his head because this cavern looks a bit like a chapel...and sitting on the altar...is that a biohazard symbol on each of those canisters?
